ABOUT CARMEN | Sauvage Fleur Owner & Designer
With her ability to stay calm under pressure and her intuitive sense of design, the floral designer and stylist creates cohesive environments that are both aesthetically of the moment and timeless. Carmen grew up in the State of Washington and her love of flowers became apparent when she first created a bouquet from her dad's prized roses for her brother's prom date. Unknowingly, she took the first steps on a path towards creating garden inspired arrangements.
In her early twenties she started a retail career with Nordstrom that would take her from salesperson to management in a very short time. For thirteen years she enjoyed working for Nordstrom in a variety of facets including visual merchandising, accessories, beauty, women's contemporary and specialized apparel. After an eight year career in management, Carmen decided to take time to rediscover her creative instincts and form a new direction. Drawing on her love of patterns, flowers and building upon her abilities in management and merchandising, Carmen used this time of change to pursue wedding planning and eventually floral design and styling.
With a discerning eye and a style that can only be described as New York chic meets California bohemian, Carmen set out to establish her company by creating an elevated client experience and developing her skills as floral designer. She is committed to producing couture floral design first by using local and American grown flowers and plants. She values transparent customer service and seeks to bring a touch of fashion and joy to her clients through each arrangement and bespoke element.
